Venita Aspen thinks her Southern Charm co-star Craig Conover is milking his breakup with Paige DeSorbo and “dragging it out” – as Austen Kroll defended him, and Leva Bonaparte reacted.

A few months back, Paige revealed that she and Craig split. Soon after, rumors began swirling that she was seeing a man before the breakup. She then admitted that they actually broke up around Thanksgiving. Craig, however, refused to deny the allegation that she cheated.  

In a terrifying moment in the current season, Venita jumped into a pool and was seemingly drowning. Craig dove in to save her. Despite this interaction, they apparently aren’t on great terms.

“Craig and I aren’t that close,” said Venita on The Viall Files, via @bravolovebaby_ on Instagram. “Craig is not really opening up and speaking about [the breakup] to us as a group. But we kind of get anything about the relationship from what we see online.”

Venita said she thinks Craig’s heart is broken, but he’s also milking it.

“I just think that she’s not running around doing all these PR moments about it. She’s just trying to let the situation die, and he’s still doing that,” she explained. “We understand that your heart’s broken, but it almost seems like you’re dragging this out longer than it needs to be.”

The host then asked Venita if Craig should let everyone know what Paige is or isn’t doing.

“Yeah, I think he should, only because he is deeming her to be attacked by not [saying either way],” said Venita. “Speak your truth and let it be known, the same way you’re speaking your truth about everything else.” According to Venita, if he doesn’t know the truth, then he should “stop answering like [he does].”

When asked if Craig’s ex Naomie Olindo – with whom Venita is in a “good place” – will return to the show, Venita said she believes Naomie is “past” it.

After the interview, Austen responded to Venita’s claim that Craig is milking it.

“Damn,” wrote Austen, via @queensofbravo on Instagram. “You save a girl from drowning and this is how she repays you.”

Castmate Leva chimed in: “Saving lives and adding to the PR roster lol 😂 #no.”
