Venita Aspen suggests Southern Charm edited an episode to make her look like a “home wrecker.” The 31-year-old said she “will not allow” the world to “think I’m that woman,” as Salley Carson, Rod Razavi, and fans reacted.

In a past episode, Venita cooked branzino for JT Thomas, and they then shared a flirty dinner. At the end of the scene, however, JT revealed that he was seeing someone else. But in the latest episode, during a cast trip to the Bahamas, JT shared that he turned Venita down after she came onto him. After the episode aired, some fans slammed Venita for allegedly coming onto JT while knowing he was in a relationship.

On Saturday, March 1, Venita addressed the controversy.

“Let me make something VERY CLEAR. That dinner JT and I had after I made a Branzino was AFTER the Bahamas,” she wrote on Instagram. “[Y’all] as an audience saw it BEFORE. So this [week’s] episode is now making me look like I’m a home wrecker when I’m not.”

“I know what I signed up for but I also will not allow the world to think I’m that woman when I’m not,” said Venita. “Make sure you add this screenshot to all of the Reddit threads.”

In the comments of her post shared by @queensofbravo on Instagram, Salley threw shade at JT.

“Lil b**ch hid his girlfriend all season,” she wrote.

In another comment, former co-star Rod Razavi seemingly addressed how Venita called out the edit.

“Didn’t know we were allowed to do this,” he said. “Would’ve made my life much easier 😂😂.”

Fans also revealed their reactions.

“What?!!!!! Venita!!! That is INSANE!!!” exclaimed one viewer.

“Oh thats CRAZY! I’m glad she posted this because I was actually shocked,” said another.

“Venita [will get] in trouble by production for this. They are not supposed to air how production works. Let’s see if she comes back,” wrote a third fan.

“I think it’s funny that everyone was pissed off at this edit. 😂 We Alll know Venita! ❤️” said a fourth.

“Bravo really needs to stop the manipulative editing and producing of storylines. It’s all going to blow up in their faces,” wrote a fifth. “Bethenny [Frankel] and Leah [McSweeney]’s lawsuits are going to look like nothing when Bravo crosses a beloved RH or other Bravoleb!”
