Southern Charm's Venita Aspen Reveals Unaired Moment With JT Thomas That Cost Her $5K, Admits to Thinking They'd Get Married as JT Labels the Cast "Snakes" Amid Claims of Racism

Venita Aspen revealed details about an unaired moment from Southern Charm that saw her spending $5,000 on her former flame and co-star, Jarrett “JT” Thomas, following Thursday’s new episode.

After JT, 39, was seen lashing out at the cast, slamming them as “snakes” as he refuted Ryan Albert‘s claim that he allegedly made racist statements about her, Venita, 31, recalled a moment between her and JT in which he spoke of his new girlfriend, Ali Pereless, after she splurged on a fancy gift and admitted to thinking they could get married.

“I’m on a walk, and I call JT and I say, ‘Listen, I want you to come with me to this event as my date.’ And he goes, ‘Ya know, I don’t think my girlfriend‘s gonna like that.’ And I literally throw my phone on my porch and slammed my door. Before that, I said, ‘You’re gonna make me look like a f*cking home-wrecker,’” Venita recalled on the March 13 episode of the Southern Charm: After Show.

According to Venita, she spent $5,000 on JT ahead of their potential appearance together. 

“Imagine having a girlfriend and then having your best friend spend $5,000 on you at Dumas. And you get it tailored, same day turnaround. They don’t do that for anybody else. That’s my best friend. That was my best friend,” she explained. 

“I married my best friend,” Leva Bonaparte, 45, said in response.

“And I thought I was going to marry mine,” Venita admitted. “But then, ya know, other things came into play.”

“My mother was very upset because mommy also met him. She liked him, and my mom doesn’t like anyone,” Venita added, noting that she “didn’t [bang JT].”

“I did straddle him, but we did not dry hump,” she clarified.

Meanwhile, in their own After Show segment, Salley Carson, 30, said, JT “pretended to want Venita, and he had a girlfriend the whole time.” Craig Conover, 36, agreed, saying, “The whole time he was courting Venita he had a girlfriend.”

In a recap of Thursday’s Southern Charm shared by Us Weekly, JT was targeted with claims of potential racism as Venita was left in “shellshock.”

According to newbie Ryan, a barber said, “JT told him that there is some Black girl that’s been coming on to him and his girlfriend is going to be so pissed off.”

After hearing the allegations, Venita told Leva she wasn’t sure what to believe, noting that the behavior “doesn’t seem like JT,” as Leva confronted JT.

“Ryan, I guess, uses the same barber as you … He said that that barber told him that you verbatim said, ‘There’s some Black girl trying to get me to break up with my girlfriend,’” Leva recalled to JT. “Venita is distraught.”

“That sounds racist. I’m not a racist,” JT replied. 

Leva went on to note that Venita felt “used” by JT as he admitted to being flirtatious with her despite his romance with Ali.

“I’m so sorry that she thinks this, but no. This is yet another time that words are being put in my mouth,” JT responded. “I have nothing but respect for Venita. This is absolutely bullsh*t. That is not how I roll. I have had enough of my name getting shattered and destroyed. I am tired of this friend group.”

To prove his case, JT called his barber in front of Leva, and the man denied JT said “some Black girl … is trying to ruin my relationship.”

“You had said that there is an interest with a cute Black girl on the show, Venita. That was really the gist of it. There wasn’t really much context [other than] that,” the barber clarified. “If it was off, something that I relayed, like, I’m so sorry.”

“That’s a big allegation. That’s a really big accusation by Ryan,” JT continued to Leva. “What did I do to this guy?”

He then called Venita.

“I’m still, like, shaking. … I’m really upset right now. I know you are too. I’m f*cking pissed right now. This is horrible,” JT said. “I’m upset with him, and I’m upset that he hurt you.”

Even Leva was “hurt” by the allegations because her husband, Lamar Bonaparte, is also Black.

“I’m done. So done with these people; they’re f*cking snakes. It’s Craig, it’s [Austen Kroll], it’s Ryan, it’s Salley,” JT declared of the cast.

As for Ryan, he added, “This is sick, man. This motherf— just called me [racist] and his husband is also Black. This has all the looks of a f*cking target job by a psychopath.”

Southern Charm season 10 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
