Victoria Jones, daughter of renowned actor Tommy Lee Jones, allegedly slapped her husband, Navek Cejas, twice during a domestic dispute, leading to her arrest in June—just six months before her untimely death.
The incident reportedly stemmed from a heated argument concerning her ongoing struggles with substance abuse, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Following the altercation, Victoria faced charges of misdemeanor domestic battery, with additional allegations of elder abuse being brought against her.
At the time of her passing, both this case and a separate drug possession charge, which dates back to April 2025, were still unresolved. She had been due to appear in court to address these charges on January 20.
Attempts to reach Cejas, 44, for comment by Page Six have not yet received a response.
Jones’ body was discovered on the 14th floor at the Fairmont in San Francisco on Thursday morning. She was 34 years old.
First responders were called the swanky hotel at 2:52 a.m. that morning in response to a medical emergency, a spokesperson for the San Francisco Fire Department previously told Page Six of the scene.
“Bystanders were given instructions for CPR according to CAD records,” the rep said.
However, Victoria was found unresponsive and pronounced dead once service members arrived on the scene.
The case has since been turned over to the San Francisco Police Department and Medical Examiner for further investigation.
An official cause of death has not yet been released. However, an eyewitness reportedly told police they saw Jones using cocaine prior to her death.
Law enforcement sources additionally told TMZ that Jones lips and fingernails were tinged blue once they arrived.
As we previously reported, Victoria was arrested in April for obstructing a peace officer, using/being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a narcotic controlled substance, for which she also pleaded not guilty.
Shortly after her passing, Tommy Lee and the rest of Victoria’s family released a statement.
“We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers,” the family wrote in a statement obtained by Page Six on Friday evening.
“Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.” The statement was signed, “The Family of Victoria Kafka Jones.”
