However, as well as having many viral and ‘meme-worthy’ moments, the show has also had its fair share of controversial moments too. Dr. Phil Is Known For Awkward Interviews
Despite the show being home to many viral moments, fans and viewers have also felt as though there have been plenty of awkward interviews over the course of the twenty seasons. Some good examples of this include Dr. Phil’s interview with Jerica, who has a personality disorder.
Throughout the episode, viewers witnessed Jerica struggling with the questions that Dr Phil was asking her, making for an awkward viewing experience.
On the YouTube clip, fans took to the comments to share their opinion on the awkward moment, with one stating: “This is the kind of patient that should not have been on a TV show like this. I really feel for her, it’s obvious that she has suffered severe trauma in her life.”
Another interview that was highly talked about includes the famous interview with Danielle Bregoli, who has now made millions thanks to her music career and OnlyFans.
However, the controversy doesn’t end there. It is also alleged by employees of the talk show that the environment is ‘toxic’ and ‘racist’. According to reports, one employee even stated: “Dr. Phil — the show about mental health where everybody who works on it has terrible mental health because our work conditions were really bad,”

Orlando Brown is an American actor, best known for playing Raven Baxter’s best friend Eddie Thomas on That’s So Raven. However, in recent years, he has become known for his ‘scandalous’ behavior.

In 2016, he was arrested on several occasions for a variety of different reasons, including domestic battery, obstruction of justice, and drug possession, as well as with intent to sell and possession of contraband in jail.
However, his bumpy ride didn’t end there. He was arrested again later the same year in September for drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest, yet again landing himself in more hot water.
He was also arrested the same year for breaking into a Las Vegas restaurant named Legends Restaurant & Venue, where he was seen attempting to change the locks of the establishment.
The star also has a long history of struggling with substance abuse, a factor that likely contributed to some of his previous behavior. This was a topic which was discussed when he appeared on the Dr Phil show, however, some fans feel as though the star was treated unfairly by the talk show host.
Fans Think Orlando Brown Was Treated Unfairly On Dr. Phil
During S17E71, Orlando Brown appeared on the Dr. Phil show. However, after watching both the episode and the clips on YouTube, many fans feel as though he was treated unfairly, considering his mental state at the time.
Fans took to Reddit to share their opinions, with one fan commenting: “Watch that interview on Youtube. Orlando is clearly having an extreme episode and is incoherent. He says weird stuff like ‘well one baby is 2 years old, but we don’t know the name yet because it’s still in the womb’ or something like that. He’s clearly out of his mind.”
Another viewer seemed to share the same opinion, stating: “I watched this episode. It was disgusting. He was clearly having some sort of mental episode and Dr. Phil and his show completely exploited it for ratings. It was disturbing.”
Similar sentiments were echoed around the thread, with many fans nodding their head in agreement, with others blaming the show for allowing him on there during what was clearly a difficult period for Brown.
