There were some major question marks around the couples of Love Is Blind UK Season 2. Though several couples got engaged on the reality TV show, not all of them made it to the wedding day, and even those who did still had some communication issues to sort through.

One couple, Jed and Bardha, ultimately didn’t go through with their ceremony, feeling like they needed more time to figure out their differences before officially trying the knot. For another couple, Billy and Ashleigh, it seemed like some career matters could be the thing to drive them apart. On their big day, were the pair able to sort things out, or did Ashleigh’s role prove too much of a roadblock?

Billy Had Concerns About Ashleigh’s Work Schedule

Those who followed the couple’s journey throughout the season will know that Billy had reservations about getting married. Midway through the season, he revealed that he’d already been married once before, and that he really didn’t want to get divorced a second time.

The main issue for the couple was Ashleigh’s job. She had a lengthy career as cabin crew, meaning that she was often away for stretches of time while flying. Billy was vocal about his concerns about how Ashleigh’s travel schedule would affect their relationship, especially the early days of their marriage. Hearing this frustrated Ashleigh, as she believed that if they truly loved each other, they’d be able to work things out.

Leading up to the wedding, the series made it seem as though Billy was wavering on his decision. During his bachelor party, he admitted to the other cast members that he was still unsure of his decision. Even in the moments prior to the wedding ceremony, he made a dubious confession to his mother:

In the end, however, the couple did move forward with the ceremony. Ashleigh said her vows first, telling Billy, “You are the most kind and respectful man I’ve ever met, and I’m so lucky to have found you.” Billy went second, and after a dramatic pause, he also agreed to get married to his fiancée. It seems like Ashleigh was able to convince her husband that they would be able to navigate the periods during which they’d be apart.

At the couple’s reception, things were much more upbeat, with everyone dancing together and drinking glasses of Guinness, a nod to Billy’s Irish upbringing. Billy gave a toast to his new wife, giving viewers every confidence that he was entirely sure about her:

The newlyweds ended the evening celebrating with all their loved ones. Both of their parents could be seen beaming and clapping along to the music, making it seem like the pair were off to a good start in married life.

As of now, it seems like the pair are still going strong as husband and wife. In addition to Billy and Ashleigh, two other couples also got married in Season 2: Sarover and Kal as well as Megan and Kieran. Only one engaged couple, Bardha and Jed, didn’t go through with their wedding ceremony.
