The cast of The Big Bang Theory continues to enjoy success, post show. However, behind the scenes, things weren’t always running the smoothest. In fact, creatively, some of the cast grew frustrated, including Kunal Nayyar who for many seasons, couldn’t contribute a single word when a woman was featured in a scene.
Although he was a fan favorite, Simon Helberg wasn’t entirely onboard with everything Howard did prior to Bernadette entering the picture. The actor was far more comfortable once Howard entered a relationship.
In terms of rifts between the cast, those seem to be few and far between. The atmosphere was always said to be friendly and relaxed. However, on Reddit, fans decided to do some extra digging, and they’d find out that something might be going on between Mayim Bialik and Johnny Galecki.
Let’s take a look at the findings and where the cast stands today.
Johnny Galecki And Kaley Cuoco Were Hiding Their Real-Life Relationship For The Show
At least according to Kevin Sussman, one of the major reasons as to why TBBT lasted as long as it did, was for the simple fact that the cast was easy to work with, and the atmosphere was always a relaxed one on-set.
Johnny Galecki might have a different interpretation of things as for a little over two years, he dated Kaley Cuoco without anyone knowing.
Cuoco opened up, discussing the relationship and how hard it was on both sides.
“We dated really early on for almost two years. When we did the pilot, I was crushing so hard on Galecki, but he had a girlfriend,” she tells Us Magazine.
“We got together and just fell mad for each other for two years, but then we broke up. Luckily, Johnny and I came out of it so brilliantly and we’re closer today than we ever were.”
Thankfully, the two were able to stay close friends once the relationship came to an end. In addition, Chuck Lorre teased the two on-set following the breakup.

Cuoco said, “When we broke up, obviously it was a little sensitive for a minute,” Kaley began. “But I remember those weeks that Chuck had written these episodes where all of a sudden our characters were like sleeping together every other second.”
Kaley believes this was purposely done to relieve tension between the two.
In terms of actual tension between the cast, there doesn’t appear to be any sign or negative stories, at least from the perspective of the cast.
However, those on Reddit dug a little deeper, finding a weird trend on social media between Galecki and his co-star, Mayim Bialik.
“Reddit fans noticed that Jim Parsons (Sheldon) and Mayim Bialik (Amy) were not following Johnny Galecki (Leonard) on Instagram. Reddit users also noticed that Galecki was not following Bialik.”
Adding some extra confusion to it all, fans would also notice that Cuoco wasn’t following Bialik either… This would lead fans to believe that something may have gone down behind the scenes. Nonetheless, no reports have ever surfaced and this appears to be pure speculation from the fanbase.
Kaley Cuoco Revealed The Cast Maintains A Close Relationship
Were not entirely sure if there is any truth to the rumor… However, what we do know from Kaley’s perspective, is that all is well between the cast and since the show ended, everyone still keeps in touch.
Cuoco said, “Everyone is really doing great. It’s wonderful to see, that’s what you hope for, right? You hope you want all your friends to be successful. We had a unique experience for so long so to see everyone doing the things they want to be doing and successful. The texts are always happening.”
Cuoco would also get a personal message from Jim Parsons, following her Golden Globe nomination. “Jim had sent me a text the morning of the Globes because he saw a video I posted,” she recalled.
She continues, “He was like, ‘I just saw your video’. His message was very cute. He was very excited.”
Cuoco is glad the entire team is doing well, while working on different projects away from the sitcom.
