West Wilson and Amanda Batula appear to be deepening their relationship as they reportedly shared loving sentiments with each other during a recent escapade to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
The couple, who made their relationship public in March following weeks of speculation, enjoyed a weekend getaway where romance was clearly in the air. Their presence at a local restaurant and bar did not go unnoticed and sparked conversation among onlookers. Despite West, 31, addressing their relationship status and his role in Summer House—claiming he’s been placed on hiatus rather than fired—the pair has captivated attention with their charming public displays of affection.
A keen observer shared insights with Deuxmoi on June 28, revealing a rather telling encounter at Lake Geneva’s Gordy’s. “Amanda waited for West outside the men’s room. When asked about marriage, West cheekily pointed to Amanda, as if suggesting it was her call. Amanda laughed it off with a playful ‘yeah no,’ but their subsequent public display of affection was hard to miss, complete with exchanged ‘I love yous.’”
Meanwhile, on the June 27 episode of his Show Me Something podcast, which he co-hosts with Sophie Cunningham, 29, West confirmed that he would not be filming Summer House this summer but hinted that he could ultimately return.
“The summer … obviously, we’re taking a little time out, like I’m not filming this summer, which, I think, ultimately is the right thing for everyone. We can all … Everyone can, like, take a breather. It wouldn’t have been fun for literally anyone,” he stated.
Following the news of West’s lack of involvement with season 11, an insider spoke to Us Weekly, sharing that his departure, whether temporary or not, was a “mutual decision.”
“It became even clearer that there wasn’t a long-term fit anymore,” the source explained. “He is at peace with the decision and is focusing on his podcast and other business ventures.”
Summer House season 11 is expected to begin filming in July.
