The Bachelorette will be breaking ground in its upcoming season, casting a pre-existing reality TV star as its lead. The news broke earlier this month that the next Bachelorette is none other than Taylor Frankie Paul, one of the main cast members of Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
In the show, we see Taylor struggling with her love life, most recently splitting from partner Dakota shortly after giving birth to their son, Ever. So what kind of man is she on the lookout for next?
Taylor Says She Needs Someone ‘Passive’
Taylor and Dakota’s relationship was rather tumultuous, with the two constantly on and off throughout two seasons of the show. In this new chapter of her life, Taylor explained that she was looking for a much more peaceful dynamic. She recently appeared on Alex Cooper’s podcast “Call Her Daddy,” where she divulged the kind of man she’d no longer be going for:
I can’t do the class clown. And am I attracted to that? Yes I am. I’m like, ‘Ooh yeah,’ because they’re your vibe! They are high energy, and I’m that way sometimes, but passive is what I’ve learned is best for me.
Taylor elaborated that while she still wanted someone who was “fun,” she definitely didn’t want any drama this time around. She noted she’d like someone who would encourage her instead of holding her back. “I’m one that cannot be controlled. It actually makes me worse. Or told what to do. That is something that I don’t [like at all],” she told Alex.
Her Man Needs To Fold Into Her World
Taylor’s leading man will also need to fit into her existing life. The new Bachelorette is a mom of three who continues to make her living as an influencer, so her future partner will need to be accepting of that.
When Alex asked if Taylor’s future match might be featured in his TikToks, she said it would certainly be part of her expectations:
That’s my life! That’s my job. I do a lot of family vlogging and that’s what I share with my kids, and I want him to be in my family. So if I have to blur him out, I’m like, ‘Duh, I want to show him off!’
As of now, there isn’t an official air date for Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette, but it will air sometime in 2026.
