Wheeler Dealers host Mike Brewer has revealed he was pulled over by cops on Wednesday while filming the hit TV show.

The 59-year-old took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a video of the moment he was stopped by the police while driving his Mazda MX-5.

The TV star was shooting a segment for the camera while following a camera-tracking car.

But just a few seconds later, Mike was surrounded by police cars with their sirens blaring.

He wrote on the social media site: “Got T packed today by an overzealous @warkspolice who don’t understand the law when comes to car filming.

“Refused to understand and made us cancel filming. No more car shows then?”

Wheeler Dealers first premiered in 2003 on Discovery Real Time channel before moving over to the Discovery channel in 2011.

The premise of the show sees presenters on a mission to save old and repairable enthusiast vehicles.

The vehicles are repaired and improved at a said budget and then sold to a brand new owner.

Mike has been presenting the hit show since its inception and it’s now on its 17th season on television.

The television personality’s pull over by the cops comes after he previously opened up about why he believes James May was dropped from a show the pair were doing together.

The pair filmed a season of Driven, which aired in 1998, but the Top Gear host was dropped after just one series.

Mike recalled: “The first episode of Driven was me, James May and Jason Barlow.

“We had this mad band of brothers, one being a cockney car dealer, James and Jason being motoring journalists.”

While speaking on his podcast Mike Brewer: From Mini to Megastar, he continued: “Somehow we put together this TV show. It was absolutely phenomenal to make.

“Budgets were great and we sort of made this amazing show that went around reviewing cars.

“But at the end of the first season, they fired James May because nobody liked him. They just thought he was cr*p.”
