David Tennant and his wife, Georgia Tennant (née Moffett), share five children together, and Ty Tennant is their eldest child. Ty is actually David’s stepson — Hollywood Life reports that David legally adopted Ty after David and Georgia got married in 2011. A 2002 article from The Sunday Mirror (as archived by The Free Library) discusses Georgia’s pregnancy with Ty and her life as a teenage mother at the time, where Georgia commented, “I’m proud of having Ty and I’m proud of the way we’ve coped with people’s bad opinions of us. And this is the kind of stuff that makes people stronger.”
Ty reportedly met David for the first time at five years old when Georgia was working on an episode of “Doctor Who” (via the Daily Mail). During a guest appearance on an episode of “Lorraine,” Ty explained that he had looked up to David as a “hero” on television before he was ever adopted by him (per the Daily Mail).
