Who Is Pippa Middleton?

Philippa Charlotte Matthews is an English socialite, novelist, and columnist who was born on September 6, 1983. She is Catherine, Princess of Wales’ younger sibling.

Middleton attended Marlborough College before earning a degree in English literature from the University of Edinburgh. She was born in Reading and reared in Bucklebury, Berkshire.

Before starting at her parents’ party supply business, she worked at public relations and event management companies. Middleton first came under the spotlight when her sister started dating Prince William, and she received extensive press notice for her participation in their wedding.

She has written two novels as well as articles for Vanity Fair and The Sunday Telegraph.

She is the second of three children born to Carole Middleton, a former flight attendant, and Michael Middleton, a former flight controller for British Airways, both born in 1949. Her father comes from a prosperous household with ties to the British aristocracy in Yorkshire.

Her mother is descended from County Durham laborers and coal workers.

Middleton and James Matthews, a hedge fund manager, and former race car driver got betrothed in the Lake District in July 2016. At St Mark’s Church in Englefield Estate, Berkshire, close to Bucklebury Manor, the Middleton family home, the couple exchanged vows on May 20, 2017.

Matthews will receive the 10,000-acre Scottish estate of Glen Affric from his father, who holds the title of Laird. Middleton will eventually become Lady Glen Affric as a result.
