There have been so many different iterations of Real Housewives, it can get quite confusing to keep up with. If you’re a long time Bravo fan or found yourself binging seasons of The Real Housewives of Atlanta during quarantine, either way, we’re sure you have compiled your own personal list of your favorite housewives. In each different reiteration of the show, though, it’s clear that there are always a few cast members that stand out among their groups.
No matter which franchise happens to be your favorite, we all have heard and know about at least one housewife that is considered the most iconic from their shows. Whether you agree with them or not, some of these housewives are considered royalty and will never be able to be replaced. Let’s take a look at the most iconic housewives from each franchise of Real Housewives.
8/8 RHOSLC: It’s A Little Early To Tell…
Unlike many of the other Real Housewives series, Salt Lake City is only in its third season. Not to mention, they’re about to lose influential housewife Jen Shah from their cast as she is set to serve 6.5 years in prison. It’s safe to say most of the RHOSLC storyline has always centered around Jen, so with her not filming anymore, we’re still waiting to see if the show will come back for Season 4. However, fans have loved Heather Gay since Season 1 and fans have fallen in love with Lisa Barlow after her Season 2 hot mic moment. Quite honestly, it’s a little too early to name the most iconic Salt Lake City housewife.
7/8 RHOP: The Grand Dame, Karen Huger
Quite honestly, so many of the RHOP housewives are iconic, but you know we had to name Karen Huger the cream of the crop. Really… she is the Grande Dame of Potomac, so of course she’s in this spot. Karen has been no stranger to drama and shade during her time on RHOP, and her confessionals always seem to give us life.
6/8 RHOM: Alexia Echevarria
After being an OG Miami housewife, Alexia Echevarria and the rest of the cast came back swinging for Season 4 of RHOM on Peacock. After an eight-year hiatus, we finally got to catch up with some of our favorite OG’s, and Alexia just happens to be the most memorable out of all of them. If you even know a small sliver of Alexia’s life story, you know that this woman has been through it all. She is truly one of the strongest housewives we’ve ever witnessed on our screens, and she always bounces back no matter what life throws her way.
5/8 RHOBH: Lisa Vanderpump
Do you even need to watch RHOBH to know Lisa Vanderpump’s impact on the show? The answer to that question is a resounding no. Aside from her charming British accent and affluent lifestyle, LVP is a fan favorite simply for her character. With strong moral values and loyalty, LVP is one housewife that fans just can’t get enough of. Hello — Bravo literally created Vanderpump Rules for us to see another side of LVP’s employees, her employees, people!

4/8 RHONJ: Teresa Giudice
In our opinion, RHONJ has produced some of the best housewives thus far, but we’re not sure one could ever be more iconic than OG Teresa Giudice. Seriously, her Season 1 table flip will live in our heads forever, but she’s had countless other moments that stick in our brains. From overcoming her legal problems to remarrying to her new husband, Teresa has been there and done that, cementing herself as New Jersey’s most iconic housewife.
3/8 RHOA: NeNe Leakes
You may not even know this housewife got her big break on RHOA: It’s NeNe Leakes. NeNe is the face of so many hilarious memes that have circulated around the internet, she’s a true star of the modern age. While a part of the RHOA cast, she served us iconic moments including her “not a white refrigerator” revelation to her pronouncing “I said what I said.” She’s a true icon of reality TV if there ever was one.
2/8 RHOC: The OG Of The OC, Vicki Gunvalson
As another housewife, a part of the original cast of RHOC, Vicki Gunvalson played an instrumental part in the success of the Real Housewives franchise. Like many of the other housewives a part of this list, Vicki has had her controversial moments, but she’s also had extremely entertaining ones too. As someone who never really cares what others think of her, couldn’t we all learn a little from Vicki?
1/8 RHONY: There Could Never Be Just One!
There is absolutely no way that we could name one singular housewife from RHONY as the most iconic of them all. Whether you’re a fan of Bethenny Frankel’s honest demeanor, Sonja Morgan’s one-liners, or Dorinda Medley’s chaotic drunk moments, one thing is for sure: RHONY has created some of the most iconic housewives ever.
