Big Brother has become one of the most infamous reality television shows in history. Not only does the series document several people living in a house together, but they are cut off from the outside world. Plus, there are live streams of the household activities available to watch online.
This is the world Angela Murray stepped into when she recently joined the show. Her run on the show was memorable, to say the least. She did form several alliances and developed bonds with the cast. However, she also got into some arguments and referred to Matt as “Crazy Eyes.”
Angela was definitely entertaining, despite how viewers might have felt about her. However, this wasn’t her first time on television. Angela previously appeared on game shows and even showed up in the world of Dr. Phil. There was even a link between Big Brother and her prior television appearances that led some to believe she was a CBS plant.
Angela Previously Appeared On The Price Is Right And Let’s Make A Deal
In 2019, Angela made an appearance on The Price Is Right with Drew Carey. While she was very excited to be called out from the audience, she didn’t get the bid correct. Angela also appeared on Let’s Make A Deal with Wayne Brady.
In one clip, Angela is referred to by Wayne as “the lady with all the heads.” This is because she was wearing a shirt which read “football mom” and featured cutouts of random celebrities’ heads. The various people Angela had on her shirt included Tom Brady, model Tiffany Coyne, and announcer Jonathan Mangum.
When Angela approached Wayne, she said, “Nice to meet you again.” This indicated to Big Brother fans that Angela had been on the show before. During her previous appearance, Angela wore a shirt that said, “Realistic Housewives of Orange County.” When asked what her shirt meant, she said it was because she has four kids and does the dishes.
However, Angela isn’t without her own share of drama. During her time on Big Brother, she regularly clashed with her fellow housemates. These included Lisa and Matt, who Angela dubbed, “Crazy Eyes,” in a now infamous moment.
When speaking to Entertainment Weekly following her exit, Angela said she doesn’t regret anything about how things went down between them. “I had some pretty major issues with Matt and Lisa in the house,” she said. “Do I regret any of that? To be quite honest with you, no. I feel like I stood up for myself, and I could have handled it maybe a little differently and had I had enough sleep and was not under the pressure that I was under and the somewhat duress, I would’ve maybe handled it a little differently. But standing up to both of them, do I regret? No, I do not.”
Angela also blamed her rant about Matt on “sleep deprivation.” She said, “The paranoia set in with the whole Matt deal, and feeling as though the whole house had turned against me so early on. And I lost it. If it hadn’t been for Tucker and feeling kind of coveted and loved by him in those really dark moments, I don’t know how I could have gotten through it.”

Why Is BB26 Star Angela Murray Receiving So Much Support On X?
Who would’ve thought, a wife, mother and grandmother would be the talk of Big Brother season 26. Angela rocked the house during her first HOH. However, for the houseguests, her blowup with Matt was deemed too much, putting her on the block. Despite her edit with CBS, Angela is receiving praise on X. A recent tweet thanked Angela for making the house focus on the game, and not a showmance. In addition, her confrontational ways have given fans an old school Big Brother feel. What are your thoughts on Angela’s game? Does she deserve all of the praise?
Angela didn’t feud with everyone in the house, however. She did form a genuine bond with Tucker, who she called “a standup” guy, saying, “He is just a class act when it comes to that.” She continued, “I appreciate him in those moments because I really needed a friend, and he was there for me. And he is honestly a very caring, very loving person and I’m very thankful for that in those moments. That was probably my darkest moment in the house. It was very emotional for me.”
Angela Later Appeared On The House Calls With Dr. Phil
Angela also appeared on The House Calls With Dr. Phil. In the series, Phil would travel to different homes where families needed his help. In the episode, Angela reached out to Phil because her teenage daughter spent five years not speaking to her dad. However, they all lived in the same house.
Following her eviction from the Big Brother house, Angela told Parade that her kids say that she “will give you my opinion, whether you want it or not.” That may have been part of what drove her to contact Dr. Phil. As she told the outlet, it certainly came in handy during her time on Big Brother.
“I think that coincided with what happened with Quinn and Lisa and Matt,”
Angela told the outlet
. “It’s hard to bite my tongue, and I did a lot of that throughout this game. Because normally, you’re going to just get it, whether you like it or not. It isn’t always harsh or anything like that in normal life. But in here, when you’re living under a pressure cooker situation, and everything is very heightened, it just came out.”
She continued, “And how it affected me is in a negative way, and trying to recover from that and move forward with my game. I shot myself in the foot with it, and I should have held my tongue, but I didn’t. And I had to do a lot of cleanup. That was very messy. It was a lot of recovery for me, and I made my game hard by having a big mouth.”
Angela even had her own idea of how things would’ve panned out if she had not been evicted. She told the outlet if she “had survived a double eviction, would have been taking Kimo with me as far as we could go. I very quickly solidified a relationship with Kimo and had a bond like no other. And I would have loved to have done that with him. I think the two of us possibly with Rubina along the way, I think we could have made magic, and it would have been a fun little duo.”
Plus, Angela’s passion for developing relationships and communicating was on full display when discussing her time in the Big Brother house.
“I did have the veto used on me three times!” she said. “Being a fan of the show, I should know that that is making history. I think that the veto was used on me three times because I really did work on relationships. You cannot possibly live with 15 people and not try to find your people, people that you can get along with and have day to day conversations that aren’t related to the game.”

Did Angela Murray Take Things Too Far During Her Recent Blow Up With Matt On BB26?
Angela’s reputation in the Big Brother house took a beating following the lastest episode. Early on, Angela was a fan favorite given her super-fan status. Even Julie Chen praised Murray for winning the HOH, and her upbeat personality. However, things took a shocking twist during the recent Big Brother episode. Angela was relentless on her attack on Matt. She showed lots of immaturity towards the 23-year-old, while her blowup wasn’t well-received by houseguests either. Angela constantly called Matt “crazy eyes” while calling out his showmance. It was a disastrous turn of events for Angela, who went from the strongest player in the house, to the houseguest with a massive target on her back, all in week 1! Fan reaction to Angela on X was also extremely negative.
Angela continued, “And so I think that the houseguests that used it on me saw my heart and saw my true intentions and my true self, that I am a very passionate people person, and that what I love, I love hard. And I think they felt that, and I think that’s why I was saved so many times.”
Some Thought Angela Was A CBS Plant Due To Her History With The Network
Due to her past history with appearing on shows on the CBS network, some believed Angela was a plant. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Angela was asked which show she would like to appear on now that she’s out of the Big Brother house. When answering the question, Angela said that she is a fan of CBS shows.
“Now that I’ve played Big Brother, what reality competition would I want to do? I have always been a big fan of CBS shows, so I’d have to go with Survivor,” Angela revealed. “Survivor is right there at the tippy top as well as Big Brother, and I think that after Big Brother that I would do things so differently and not be as paranoid. So Survivor would be a dream also for me to compete in, and such a fascinating social experiment, and out in the elements where I can hug trees and be in a nature. I am a nature girl and so Survivor. And let’s just face it, Jeff’s a hottie! He’s cutie pie. So I would go on Survivor.”
During her time on Big Brother, Angela kept getting put on the block. When asked why she believed this kept happening, she told the outlet, “I think that I kept being put on the block because I made a move early in the game that kind of put a target on my back. And although I kept trying to recover and recover and recover, and I think I did, it was just so easy for anybody who was HOH just to throw me up. I became the habitual pawn and literally was told ‘Just deal with it. It’s your game and it’s getting you this far.'”
She continued, “I didn’t agree with that, didn’t like it, but it was what it was, and I had to kind of play it out. However the cards fell, I did my best to recover. I think I did a great job being as that I got this far, so I just don’t know. I think it’s just people didn’t want to get a lot of blood on their hands and so it was just easy to put up as one of the noms. We had to put up three people! So that’s not that easy. And I understand that I did shoot myself in my own foot, and so it was just an easy move for HOHs. I gave them an easy job. I gave them a target, every time.”
Angela also received attention due to her emotional moments. She cried a lot during her run on Big Brother and it made such an impression that she was asked about it when she left. When Angela was asked if she cried that much in her everyday life, she said, “No.”
She continued, “People are not out to evict me from my home, and there isn’t $750,000 on the line, and there isn’t the pressing issue of being liked in a home of 15 other individuals who you have to live with. And I have never lived with roommates before, so this was difficult. It’s already difficult enough to live at home with my own family, let alone 15 strangers and try to appease everybody and get along.”
Angela also explained that the circumstances within the house made it difficult for her to remain calm. According to her, the pressure of the situation contributed to her many emotional moments.

Is Angela Murray A Producer Plant For Big Brother 26?
It has been an entertaining start to season 26 of Big Brother, and Angela Murray is a major reason for it. However, fans are skeptical about her casting, especially given her background in reality TV. Angela appeared in House Calls with Dr. Phil back in 2021. Adding to her TV resume, Angela was also a contestant on The Price is Right back in 2019. Adding to it, Murray won $20,000 during her stint on Let’s Make a Deal. Fans are calling her a well thought-out plant from the Big Brother higher-ups. In truth, this move is similar to Survivor legend Cirie Fields appearing on the show last season, but without the fanfare.
“I cried a lot because I was literally going on no sleep, and it’s a pressure cooker in there,” she explained. “To say the least, I am not emotional like that at home. I am a softie. I do wear my heart on my sleeve, but the crying thing, that is something I’m pretty new to. It doesn’t take a lot to get me to be emotional or cry, but in my everyday life, I do not sob the way that I sobbed in the Big Brother house. Those kids got to me! They just got to me.”

Big Brother is a reality game show that is based on a Dutch series of the same name. Each season, contestants, known as HouseGuests, live in the same house and compete for upwards of $500,000. Contestants are constantly monitored by cameras placed throughout the house and are voted out each week in an eviction. Julie Chen Moonves has hosted the series since 2000.
