Ghostface is back and out for blood. Scream VI takes the horror outside the sleepy suburb of Woodsbro, California.
Each of the four young survivors of 2022’s Scream will reprise their roles in the sixth film in the franchise. Jenna Ortega returns as Tara Carpenter; Melissa Barrera as her half-sister Sam; and Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding as twin siblings Mindy and Chad Meeks-Martin. They will be joined by a host of new famous faces.
The only returning cast member from the iconic original film series is Courtney Cox as journalist Gale Weathers. Neve Campbell will not be reprising her role as Sidney Prescott, due to a pay dispute.
Scream VI will follow Mindy, Chad, and Tara as they attend the fictional Blackmore University in New York, with Tara’s sister Sam joining her.
“These kids are running away, and Ghostface is still finding them in the most beautiful city but also the most terrifying because it’s so crowded and it can be aggressive,” Melissa Barrera told Entertainment Weekly in a new cast interview.

11 Who Is Melissa Barrera In Scream VI?
Melissa Barrera’s character Sam returns home to Woodsboro in Scream VI to take care of her sister Tara who was a victim of a Ghostface attack in the previous film.
Mexican-born Melissa Barrera is best known for her role in the Starz drama Vida and for appearing as Vanessa in the musical adaption of In The Heights. She started her career in Mexican telenovelas Siempre tuya Acapulco,Tanto amor, and the Netflix series Club de Cuervos.

9 Hayden Panettiere Returns In Scream VI
Hayden Panettiere returns to the Scream franchise for the sixth film, making it her first appearance since her character, Kirby Reed, was left for dead in 2011’s Scream 4.
Panettiere is best known for playing Claire in Heroes and Juliette in Nashville. She has had a long career since making her TV debut in 1994 playing Sarah Roberts on the long-running ABC soap opera series One Life to Live. Other credits include Remember The Titans, Racing Stripes and I Love You Beth Cooper.

One-half of the Meeks twins, Browning’s Mindy is a horror aficionado who is last seen being rushed to hospital after being attacked by Ghostface.
Jasmin Savoy Brown appeared in the second season of HBO mystery drama series The Leftovers, the ABC legal drama series For the People, and currently appears in the Showtime drama series Yellowjackets as Taissa. She also provides the voice and motion capture for Phin Mason / Tinkerer in the video game Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
7 Mason Gooding’s Role In Scream VI
Mason Gooding (Son of Cuba Gooding Jr) returns as Chad, the high school jock who is last seen in the emergency room after being attacked by Ghostface,
Mason gained fame playing Parker Jones on the HBO sports comedy Ballers. He later appeared in The Good Doctor and played Andrew on Hulu’s Love, Victor. His big screen debut was in 2019’s Booksmart. Other film roles include Let It Snow, I Want Your Back and 2022’s Moonshot.

Dermot Mulroney is one of the new name actors joining the cast of Scream VI in the role of a police officer. “I guess I shouldn’t say that my daughter is one of the victims, but I don’t have to describe how or in what way, so that’s what draws me into the story is strong family ties,” he revealed.

Courteney Cox is best known for her role as Monica Geller on the NBC sitcom Friends. A Screen Actors Guild Award winner, she also played Julie Winston in Masters of the Universe and Melissa Robinson in the comedy Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.

3 Samara Weaving Is Cast In Scream VI
Samara Weaving is becoming one of the most in-demand screen queens in Hollywood at the moment. She has had prior working relationships with the Radio Silence production crew on 2019’s Ready or Not before being cast in Scream VI.
She started her career in Australian soap Home and Away. Other small screen roles include Ryan Murphy’s Hollywood and Nine Perfect Strangers alongside Nicole Kidman.
She starred in the films Mayhem, The Babysitter and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri which earned the cast a Screen Actors Guild Award. She has recently appeared in Babylon alongside Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt.

Jack Champion is another actor appearing in the newest Scream film. He recently played Spider, a human teenager living on Pandora, in Avatar: The Way of Water. He will also appear in the third and fourth instalments of the Avatar franchise.
