YFN Lucci is now a free man after spending three years in prison.

The Atlanta rapper was released today (January 31), according to documents from the Georgia Department of Corrections. Earlier this month, Loren Lorosa gave YFN Lucci’s fans a promising update on his release, and it turns out that he was providing accurate information. While she didn’t give a specific date at the time, Lorosa shared that he would be out of jail sometime in the month of January.

“A source close to the rapper tells me, Lucci will be released ANY DAY NOW,” Lorosa wrote on X. “His teams literally checking their phones daily for the call.”

She shared that the rapper will have to follow some strict conditions for his release, but his attorney stated that these rules aren’t much to worry about.

His freedom comes almost a year after copping a plea deal in his RICO case, which means he was released with some restrictions. YFN Lucci, whose real name is Rayshawn Bennett, was arrested in Georgia in 2021 and hit with RICO charges, which could’ve seen him spending decades in prison if convicted. However, the rapper pleaded guilty last year to a single count of violating Georgia’s Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, thus preventing the need for a trial and conviction.

As part of his plea agreement, YFN Lucci was sentenced to 10 years in jail and another 10 years of probation. More details about his plea agreement are forthcoming.

Where Is YFN Lucci Now?

In the meantime, YFN Lucci shared a video of himself shortly after his release from prison, showing him exiting a Rolls-Royce Cullinan truck and being greeted by his children. The clip shows the rapper emotional as he reunites with his young daughters. His fans have been reacting to his release, with some folks urging him and Young Thug to make peace and put an end to gang violence in the Atlanta area.

“I want to see cuz and Thug sit down and work things out and put that beef behind them do it for the youngsters getting caught up in the gang violence man put an end to it please,” one fan wrote.
