If you’re craving more steamy, book-inspired hockey drama, “Off Campus” has arrived to satisfy your appetite.
Prime Video’s latest original series, adapted from Elle Kennedy’s widely acclaimed hockey romance novels, has just dropped its first season, now available for streaming in its entirety.
“Off Campus” Season 1 weaves an “opposites attract” narrative, spotlighting the unlikely romance between reserved songwriter Hannah Wells, played by Ella Bright, and Briar University’s notorious playboy athlete Garrett Graham, portrayed by Belmont Cameli.
The duo embarks on their journey together through a deal: Hannah agrees to tutor Garrett in a subject he’s struggling with, while Garrett pretends to be her boyfriend to boost her appeal to her crush.
Lauren Sarner, a TV reporter for Page Six, praised the series in her review, describing it as “fun, charming, and addictively watchable.” She added that it possesses unexpected depth, highlighting that although these college athletes indulge in typical college antics, the show’s unique strength lies in its portrayal of characters with trauma, without resorting to gloomy narratives.
The series has already been renewed for a second season, which will focus on another player on the team and his love story.
