Adele has opened up about why she has no plans to return to the UK.
The 35-year-old icon from London made the move to Los Angeles in 2016, initially citing financial reasons, as she felt she could get more value for her money there.
Despite amassing a staggering net worth of approximately £146 million, Adele confessed she remains uninterested in moving back to her homeland.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Adele shared that her reluctance is due to seasonal depression, stating, “I get really bad seasonal depression, so the weather is good for me. It is strange sometimes, because I’m very British.”
She added that despite her celebrity status making it challenging to go out, she enjoys the social scene in L.A., noting, “What I love the most about L.A. is everyone goes to each other’s houses. I like that.”

In the interview, Adele also gave a rare insight into her relationship with Rich Paul, 41.
She said: ‘Rich and I have always known everything about each other since the day we got together.
‘Richard does[listen to my music], it drives me insane. And it’s funny because in my car with my driver, he knows if my song comes on, he has to turn the radio, just turn it off. I don’t like it at all.’
Elsewhere, Adele said she would try her hand at acting and is keen for a famous Hollywood star to write the script for ‘the only role she would ever want’.
She said: ‘There is one movie I want to do, but the guy whose movie it would be, he’s not mentally ready to write the script for it. I bug him every now and then about it, but he’s just not there yet. But that’s the only role I ever want, because I think I’d nail it.’
Adele previously told British Vogue that she invested in three Beverly Hills mansions in order to get better value for her dollar.
‘The kind of house I have in LA I could never afford in London. Ever,’ the Tottenham native told the outlet.
Adele said that she had ‘looked at houses’ in London before coming to the conclusion and moving Stateside in 2016.
‘It’s like hundreds of millions of pounds,’ she said. ‘I don’t have that much money at all. I’d throw up.’

Sylvester previously revealed how a statue of his character Rocky from the 1976 American sports drama film, which overlooks the huge outdoor pool, helped secure the deal.
The actor had been planning on taking the stoneware with him, when Adele insisted she wanted it to stay with the property.
He told the Wall Street Journal: ‘She said: “That’s a no deal. That’s gonna blow the whole deal”. She wanted the statue.’
Adele is now ripping up the massive mansion and making it her own in a huge renovation project.
