Reese Witherspoon’s $400MILLION net worth revealed

Reese Witherspoon recently revealed she is interested in adding to her growing list of business ventures by investing in Arsenal.

It would be a smart move for the star, 46, who was named by Forbes magazine as the wealthiest actress in the world in 2021, with a net worth of $400million.

During an appearance on BBC’s The One Show, Reese was asked if she’d be interested in following in the footsteps of Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney by investing in a British team.

Reese replied: ‘If there’s space in Arsenal, all my sons and everybody would be really excited. That’s our favourite team. We watched the game the other day. It was bananas! That’s our team.’

Host Jermaine Janas, who was previously a midfielder for Tottenham jokingly said: ‘You’ve literally picked my rivals.’

Reese added: ‘I’m probably going to really wreck myself here, too, because there are people out there who are not Arsenal fans! I also like PSG.’

Jermaine said: ‘Go with PSG instead please, Reese, that’d much more friendly.’

Reese’s net worth is a combination of her 30-year long career as a Hollywood actress as well as her business efforts behind the camera.

In 2016, Reese founded production company Hello Sunshine with a goal of telling female-led stories.& 

The company has a popular track record, producing hits like Big Little Lies, Little Fires Everywhere and several novel adaptations.

In August 2021, Reese sold part of the company to Blackstone backed media company Candle Media for $900million.

The actress retained an 18 per cent ownership stake in the company and was thought to have collected $120million after taxes from the sale of her pre-existing shares.

She expanded her media empire with the creation of Reese’s Book Club and she also owns clothing line Draper James.

Reese has also earned millions from her film and TV career and has been consistently ranked as one of the world’s highest paid actresses.

She reportedly commands a $1.2million per episode salary on AppleTV+ series The Morning Show while she was also paid $15million for her work on the Legally Blonde sequel Red, White & Blonde.
