Alex Goligoski is married to his longtime partner Amanda Anderson. The adorable couple shares two young kids: Roman and Mila.
Alexander Marcus Flint Goligoski, also known as Alex Goligoski, is an American pro ice hockey player. He plays defense for the National Hockey League’s Minnesota Wild.
The Pittsburgh Penguins drafted him in the second round, 61st overall, in 2004. He has played professionally since 2007 and represented teams like the Dallas Stars and Arizona Coyotes.
After concluding his five-year deal with the Coyotes, Alex left as a free agent. He entered into a one-year, $5 million contract with the Minnesota Wild in July 2021 and later signed a two-year, $4 million contract extension in March 2022.
Alex won the NHL Stanley Cup with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2009. In his college career, he won All-WCHA Rookie Team (2005), All-WCHA Second Team (2006), All-WCHA First Team (2007), and AHCA West First-Team All-American (2007).

Meet Alex Goligoski Wife, Amanda Anderson: Married Life And Kids
Amanda Anderson, Alex Goligoski’s girlfriend, is his wife. They were high school sweethearts, so they had been in a relationship for a while before they married on July 20, 2012, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The longtime partners are blessed with two kids: a son Roman and a daughter Mila. Both of their young children were born as Coyotes.
They live a happy, private married life. The Minnesota Wild defenseman does not have a public Instagram account and posts sporadically on his Twitter, with over 27k followers. He has not tweeted anything since July 2021.
Talking about his fatherhood experience, Alex says it’s a lot different, with much less time on hand once you bring kids into the picture. He also mentioned the reduced sleep and focusing all his spare time on his kids.
His parents and brother still live in Grand Rapids, where Alex, his wife, and his children make regular getaways. Also, despite playing elsewhere for many years, Alex has remained a summer resident of Minnesota.

Alex Goligoski Is Blessed With Supportive Parents And Family
Alex Goligoski was born in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, U.S., to his parents, Dan and Paula Goligoski, both Superior, Wisconsin natives.
Paula ran a daycare center for 28 years and is a former gymnast and gymnastics coach. She was the state all-around gymnastics champion when she competed in Superior.
Her Father and Alex’s grandfather, Bruce, was also a gymnastics historian, collegiate coach, and member of the U.S. Gymnastics Hall of Fame. “Alex got all of his ability from his mom,” Dan often says.
Dan wasn’t a slouch either, so Paula laughed out. He excelled in hockey, football, and baseball while in high school.
Like Alex, he fell in love with hockey at a young age and played men’s senior league with complete contact for years.
His very proud parents are always there to watch him play and cheer him on. Alex is overjoyed when he gets to have his parents in the stands. “They’re amazing. They’re so supportive, both of them,” said the defenseman.
Alex has a four years older brother named Nick, who played hockey at Grand Rapids High, where Alex was also a standout in high school.
