A boy and woman have been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car near an Asda supermarket during the morning school run.
The hit-and-run crash occurred on High Street in Kings Heath, Birmingham around 8.50am today, BBC reported.
The woman suffered head and leg injuries and the boy’s wounds were described as ‘serious’. Their current conditions are unknown.
West Midlands police are investigating the crash and working to determine who may have been involved.
Officers have found an abandoned blue BMW One Series that is suspected of being involved in the crash.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the victims were treated at the scene before being transported to Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Police have closed off most of the high street as they continue their probe.
