Alexa Wildish is an American singer-songwriter specializing in bluegrass and Americana. She is a contestant in season 24 of The Voice.
The California native is a graduate of Elon’s music theatre program. She credits her music theatre training at Elon for developing her artistry and interpretive abilities. She specifically recalled the guidance of Senior Lecturer in Music Polly Cornelius and retired Associate Professor of Performing Arts Linda Sabo.
Following graduation, the California-based singer pursued roles in music theater productions around the country while writing her own music.
As an undergraduate, she learned to play the mandolin and discovered a love of roots and bluegrass music, which she parlayed into a 2020 self-titled EP recorded in Nashville, Tennessee.
In an interview prior to her audition, she explained that she spent pretty much all of 2021 living in a van and connecting with the outdoors. “That was incredible for me, just going and living in nature, and I feel like trees helped me to write songs,” She said.

Going into the Blind Audition, Wildish said she wanted to work with McEntire and that she had selected “Songbird” because the Rumours track is about “universal love.”
“The way you sing, it sounds like you’re a songwriter,” Stefani said when she was making her pitch to be Wildish’s Coach.
Although Legend said he really wanted to win again with Wildish — and although Wildish originally said she wanted to work with McEntire — she ultimately went with Horan, who “got goosebumps” from her performance.
She joins team Niall alongside contestants Sophia Hoffman, Jordan Rainer, and Joslynn Rose.

The singer has a great relationship with her parents and was seen coming for ‘The Voice’s audition with her father and mother.
