Amanda Balionis is set to return to the sidelines for the 2025 NFL season, as CBS has officially included her in their broadcast team for the year. The announcement was made as part of CBS’s full lineup reveal for NFL coverage this season.
Balionis confirmed the news through her Instagram story by resharing a Sports Illustrated post on July 31. She added her excitement with a caption:
“Looking forward to another season with @nfloncbs !”
Having joined CBS in 2017 as a part-time golf reporter, Balionis transitioned into NFL reporting and spent last season focused on football. For 2025, she will continue to balance both sports, dividing her responsibilities between golf and NFL broadcasts.
This season, she will once again work alongside legendary broadcaster Jim Nantz, a familiar partner from previous CBS NFL coverage. Together with lead analyst Tony Romo and sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson, Balionis will be part of the primary CBS broadcast team for select games.
In addition to this group, CBS announced other teams for the 2025 NFL season. Ian Eagle will lead a crew featuring Evan Washburn and former NFL star J.J. Watt, while Kevin Harlan will be paired with analyst Trent Green and sideline reporter Melanie Collins. Tiffany Blackmon, formerly of NFL Network, is also set to join Balionis on the sidelines for certain matchups throughout the season.
Amanda Balionis Takes on Coaching Role at Charlotte Golf Event
Outside her broadcasting duties, Amanda Balionis recently embraced a new role as a coach during a youth golf event in Greater Charlotte. The event was organized in collaboration between her non-profit, Puppies and Golf, and First Tee Greater Charlotte, and took place from July 28 to 31 at the Dr. Charles L. Sifford Golf Course.
Balionis shared her experience via Instagram, showing her official event badge labeled “Coach” and offering a light-hearted message:
“Nobody panic. The only tips I’m giving today are on how to approach a dog safely and how to have a positive attitude @puppiesandgolf @firstteegc”
She also posted a photo of her event T-shirt—a green tie-dye design with the message:
“Ready for day ✌ of the @firstteegc x @puppiesandgolf girl golf camp 🥰”
The initiative aimed to empower young girls through golf while raising awareness about animal welfare. Through Puppies and Golf, Balionis continues to advocate for both youth development and the care of dogs in need, blending her passions for sports, education, and rescue work.
