CORii Biography – CORii Wiki
CORii is a singer-songwriter from Moorestown, New Jersey. She is a contestant in the 24th season of The Voice. CORii is the stage name for Belmont Music grad Courtney Halpin MacBride.
Speaking to VoyageLA she began taking singing seriously in high school. “I specialize in performing and singing my heart out and connecting to others,” she said.
Following graduating from Berklee with a degree in music therapy, she worked at a dueling piano bar called Howl at the Moon for two and half years, saving up money so she could move to L.A. and pursue music. She wound up moving back to New Jersey when her doctor husband was offered a residency on the East Coast.
She previously appeared on season 2 of Songland. CORii was featured in a Songland episode that aired in April 2020 as one of four artists pitching songs to Louis Fonsi. She captivated audiences on NBC’s “Songland,” where she showcased her song “What If,” which has amassed over 500,000 streams on Spotify alone.
Throughout the years, the singer has performed extensively in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and New York. She also writes and sings music for national cheer competitions, hustles for TV and film placements, and teaches vocal lessons. She has already released six singles as CORii.

The 32-year-old is a contestant on the 24th season of The Voice. In ‘The Voice’ blind auditions, the singer sang ‘Scared to Be Lonely’ by Dutch DJ Martin Garrix.

Except for Reba McEntire, none of the other coaches turned their chairs around for CORii. As she chose the contestant to have on her team, she said, “I am thrilled to have you and I will help you out any way I can.”
CORii and her husband were then served tots by Reba on the stage. Niall Horan claimed about Reba, “Reba has a superpower and it’s discovering special talent.”
He added about Reba, “Her heart and soul is just very in tune with some great artists that are gonna surprise us down the line.”

The New Jersey native lives with her husband Andy MacBride, a doctor, and their son, Brooks. For the past couple of years, she decided to take a step back to prioritize her family, but now, CORii is ready to get back into the music industry.
