Cynthia Bailey from The Real Housewives of Atlanta is embracing change, particularly when it comes to her hairstyle. Recently, she shared how switching up her hair part has given her a fresh perspective on her overall style.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta Sundays 8/7c on Bravo and streaming next day on Peacock.

Cynthia, known for her versatility in looks, recently took to Instagram to reveal her new hairstyle to her many followers. Her long, flowing curls now showcase a blend of honey gold with warm brown undertones. Who doesn’t enjoy a fresh look to boost their confidence?

Cynthia, who recently surprised viewers in Bravo’s Love Hotel, is open to change. “I usually stick to a middle part, but I’m reconsidering now,” she wrote alongside the photo. “This side part is really making me feel fabulous.”

Cynthia accompanied the post with an emoji of a pair of hearts.  In the photo, Cynthia looked straight into the camera, sporting a sweater with buttons and a dark-and-light-pink pattern. Aptly, she added the hashtag “pink panther,” as well as “work mode” and “selfie love.”

Cynthia tagged the wig’s creator, Queen Latrese, and celebrity hairstylist and makeup artist Jason Tavares, crediting them for her latest look.

She then invited others for their opinion, asking, “More side part?” Several from her Bravo family left comments about how much they dug Cynthia’s new style.

RHOA alum Shereé Whitfield wrote she “love[d] a side part,” while Angie Katsanevas of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City posted a handful of fire emojis.

Inside Cynthia Bailey’s hairstyle changes

Cynthia has never been afraid to experiment. And, she’s shown off several different looks in recent months. When she stopped by Bravo HQ recently (photo below), she was sporting long hair with blonde tones that was, yes, parted in the middle.

Earlier this year, Cynthia debuted a head-turning short blonde bob in the RHOA Season 16 premiere, straying from the raven-black hues she’s worn in the past. In The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s After Show, Cynthia sports an edgy set of bangs (video at the top of the post).

She’s also worn “long, faux locks” in the past (which you can read more about below).

Cynthia Bailey shares a haircare tip

In Season 16, Episode 15, Cynthia proved she’d go to great lengths to protect her hair, as discussed in The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s After Show. During the Housewives’ Jab Jab celebration in Grenada, Cynthia found a way to protect her hair from the black oil used to symbolize freedom from oppression at the carnival-like Grenadian event.

“It was clear that my long, faux locks were definitely gonna get some oil on them, so I was like, ‘Lord, what am I gonna do to protect my hair?’” Cynthia told Drew Sidora and Angela Oakley (as seen in the video at the top of the post).

Cynthia used her creative juices to come up with a crafty idea out of a pair of black tights: “Hair condoms.”

“I just cut the legs off, braided them together… I just called them hair condoms because I literally needed to protect my hair,” she continued.

Angela laughed, pointing out that the oil would have easily seeped through the material anyway, to which Cynthia jokingly said, “I didn’t think it through, Angela. Thank you for pointing that out.”

Cynthia explained, “Condoms break,” as to why the oil eventually reached her hair.
