Dan Reilly is an Australian certified master builder and TV personality. He is best known for his role as the head foreman on The Block. He appeared on the 2012 and 2013 series of The Block, alongside his girlfriend, now wife, Dani Wales.
Dan and Dani were contestants on the 2012 season of The Block. The pair finished second and the home they worked on sold for $1.44 million, earning them $448,000 in profit. They returned the following year to compete in The Block: All Stars (2013). Dan and Dani finished in third position that season, receiving $220,000 in winnings.
Nowadays, Dani and Dan own a gym in Frankston called STRONG Pilates & Recovery Frankston as well as their own Interior Design & Residential Construction company called Manna Made. The couple set up Billie’s Besties, a charity dedicated to supporting families impacted by intensive care, loss and bereavement. He has appeared on an episode of the Tipping Point to raise funds for the charity set up in the memory of their daughter.

So he planned a very intimate dinner at Dinner by Heston in Melbourne and he proposed just before desert. We are both foodies so it was the perfect setting. I also LOVE the flames that go off along the front of Crown on the water so I found it all very beautiful. The wait staff had been clued in, but only one other table actually saw the proposal, which meant it was very private and personal. Perfect really.”

Dan and Dani have been married since November 2018. They tied the knot in a stunning wedding ceremony on the Mornington Peninsula in Fingal, Victoria. “Yep I can finally call @dani_wales my wife. We are still riding a high from the day,” Dan wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of the couple on their wedding day.

Their daughter, Billie Vera Reilly, was born on December 8, 2024, and sadly passed away 10 days later on December 18, 2024. The couple said in a heartbreaking statement on Instagram.

The Block’s Dan Reilly and Dani Wales announced the passing of their daughter in the following statement: “It is with insurmountable grief that we share the news that our daughter Billie has passed on from this life and into the next at just 10 days young.
“In Billie’s short time in this world, she taught us an intensity of both love and pain we never knew possible. She taught us what really matters. Billie was so wanted, so loved and she made us parents… and what an honour it is to be her mummy and daddy. She will always be our daughter.
“It’s clear to us that Billie was far too good for this world but if we know anything for sure, it’s that Billie’s legacy will make an impact greater than all of us.
“Thank you @mrskevinsphotos for capturing such beautiful family photos for us and also for @heartfelt_ausnz for capturing many of Billie’s firsts.
“We want to make special mention of “Billie’s Besties” at @theroyalwomens – the nurses, doctors & staff in NICU are some of the most incredible people to walk this earth and we’ll be forever grateful for the care and love they gave our girl, and us.”
The couple also shared a link for people to make a donation in Billie’s honor to The Royal Women’s Hospital.
They concluded, “Lastly, we understand there will be questions, and so many of the answers we just don’t have yet. We’ll share more in time but for now we ask for privacy as we work through this together and with our loved ones. We love you Billie.”
