Alexis Warr Burton, an accomplished American dancer and choreographer, rose to prominence by clinching the title on the U.S. dance series “So You Think You Can Dance” in 2022. Her victory not only earned her the accolade of ‘America’s Favorite Dancer’ but also marked her as the first female Ballroom and Latin dancer to achieve this feat.
Her talents have graced the stage as a guest Professional Dancer and member of the dance troupe on the American version of “Strictly,” known as “Dancing With The Stars.” For the past three years, she has been a vibrant part of the show’s touring ensemble across the United States.
In addition to her television appearances, Alexis has showcased her skills on “America’s Got Talent,” “World of Dance,” and on nationwide tours. Notably, she has collaborated with “Dancing With The Stars” judge Derek Hough on three tours, including his Las Vegas residency.
Her dance journey has also taken her to the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom, a venue that will host the eagerly awaited Blackpool special of “Strictly” later this season.

From high school sweethearts to nearly 7 years of marriage, life with you is my greatest gift. Thank you for chasing dreams with me, lifting me up, and loving me the way you do. I’m so lucky to call you mine. I love you endlessly.”
After joining Strictly, Alexis took in some of the sights in London alongside her husband, Jake Burton. Sharing a photo of the pair to her Instagram Story, the professional dancer said: “Grateful for your support, your love, YOU [heart emoji] @jakeburt0n.”
Alexis Warr Strictly Come Dancing
American-born Alexis Warr is a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing. She joined the BBC One show in 2025 as one of the two new professional dancers alongside Australian-born Julian Caillon.
On joining Strictly Come Dancing, Alexis said: “I’ve admired Strictly for years, so joining this incredible family is such an honour. I can’t wait to step into the ballroom, pour my heart into every moment, and share my love of dance with the UK.”

Alexis partnered with YouTuber George Clarke for the 2025 series of Strictly Come Dancing. The professional dancer made her debut the hit BBC One dance show on 27 September 2025.
