Emily Hope Biography – Emily Hope Wiki

Emily Hope is an amateur potter and artist on BBC1 Make it at Market. The potter, from Staffordshire, has a permanent brain injury after a stroke. She is the owner of Wonky Wabbit Studio, a handmade ceramics shop.

“Each piece is uniquely handmade by me, from being thrown on the wheel down to the brushing on of each layer of glaze by hand,” Emily said. “No two pieces are identical.”

Potter Emily Hope is a budding entrepreneur on series 2 of BBC1’s Make it at Market, hosted by The Repair Shop’s Dominic Chinea. Following a brain injury and further complications that left people services assistant Emily unable to work, she turned to pottery, which not only helped her out of a dark place, but also gave her hope of a new career.

Emily revealed she was taking part in the BBC1 show on Instagram, writing: “I’m going to appear on series 2 of BBC1’s Make it at Market starting 27th November! Filmed at the stunning #waterperrygardens – what a gorgeous location.

“I’ll be on Episode 2 (eek!) airing the 28th of November, not long at all really is it?! Will definitely be watching from behind a cushion or probably a pillow fort.

“It’s definitely been such a vulnerable experience putting myself out there but I’ve had incredible support and guidance from my mentor Florian Gadsby (I know, right?!), Dominic Chinea and my fellow potter, Emily Rose Sinclair and filming space buddy @studio.ers.

“This season is filled with some super talented artists and genuinely wonderful people, definitely very grateful to have been involved in such a whirlwind, surreal but immense and memorable opportunity.”
