Ephraim Owens is an Indianapolis, Indiana native and singer. He is a contestant in NBC’s season 24, The Voice Blind Auditions.

Singer Owens grew up in Indianapolis and currently operates a concrete block machine that makes cast stones. Previously, he had a six-year run as an MMA fighter.

The Indianapolis native is a contestant in season 24 of The Voice Blind Auditions. He sang his own rendition of Labrinth’s “Beneath Your Beautiful.”

Gwen Stefani and Coach Niall Horan were the first to hit the button which ultimately led him to earn a four-chair Turn after John Legend and Reba McEntire also turned around.

“Oh my gosh, who are you?” Stefani asked. “Let me just take this off so you can see beneath my beautiful!”

Horan could not resist the chance to do a little playful long-distance tattling on his Season 24 Coach colleague. He whipped out a phone as he had longtime The Voice Coach (and Stefani’s real-life husband) Blake Shelton on speed dial. “Shelton!” he talked into the speaker, jokingly. “She’s at it again!”

“I love your voice so much,” Stefani told him. “You kind of have this soulfulness, but this like rock side to you, too. I just feel super strong that you should be on Team Gwen!”

In the end, Owens went ahead to join team John Legend.
