Having been together for over five years, are wedding bells on the horizon for them? Gia Giudice shared more about her future with her longtime boyfriend, Christian Carmichael, in the Season 1 finale of Next Gen NYC.
During a double date in New York City, Ariana Biermann and her boyfriend, Hudson McLeroy, inquired about a potential engagement. In response, Christian humorously advised them to “take it easy.”
Gia, however, answered with an emphatic: “Soon.”
When discussing the timeline for possibly proposing, Christian mentioned a span of “like four years.” This comment caught Gia by surprise, prompting her to quickly react with disbelief, “Four!”
Although they may not be totally aligned on when exactly they’ll get engaged, Gia and Christian agree that there is no rush to take the next step.
“Christian and I are really happy in our relationship,” Gia told The Daily Dish via email on July 22. “We know we’re in it for the long haul, but we’re not putting pressure on ourselves with timelines. It will happen when it’s meant to, and we’re enjoying every moment and having fun together in the meantime.”

Gia Giudice opens up about moving in with Christian Carmichael
Gia also revealed more on the couple’s co-habitation plans during the July 22 episode of Next Gen NYC.
“Christian and I are really getting serious about moving in together,” confessed Gia, who currently lives with her mother, The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice, and her stepfather, Luis “Louie” Ruelas.
In her email to The Daily Dish, Gia declared, “I’m really excited to be moving out on my own.”
“I spent so much time in NYC while filming and I really enjoyed it. I’d be open to moving to Jersey City or NYC, wherever I find a place I fall in love with,” she continued. “I can’t wait!”
As for whether she and Christian will definitely move in together, Gia noted, “We are still figuring it out.”
“We are both young and have so much time to move in together even if it doesn’t happen right away,” she continued. “It will mostly depend on logistics with his work and whether commuting makes sense. But we are very much still together and in love and wherever a move takes me, he will be there all the time.”
For now, as both Gia and Christian live in their respective family homes, the couple continues to make their arrangement work.
“We both work a lot during the day, and a lot of the times, we like to come together at night,” Gia explained on the March 31 episode of her podcast, Casual Chaos with Gia Giudice. “We always sleep together — we basically sleep together almost every night.”

Christian has the approval of Gia’s parents.
“My mom’s obsessed with him, literally,” Gia said on her podcast, and later added, “But, you know, Christian honestly has an amazing relationship with everyone in my family.”
Gia and Christian recently vacationed in Italy with Joe Giudice in May, where the couple attended her cousin’s wedding while wining and dining their way around the country.
How did Gia Giudice and Christian Carmichael meet?
The couple first met during a house party on the Jersey shore in 2019, the summer before Gia started her freshman year of college at Rutgers University.
“I show up to this house. I had the best weekend of my life,” Gia said on the March 31 episode of her podcast. “Out of control. But it was so much fun.”
The two then attended a country concert together, and had their first kiss in the rain.
“And that was it,” Christian declared.
