Jordan Steele Biography
Jordan Steele is an American meteorologist currently serving as an on-air meteorologist for The Weather Channel (TWC) based in Atlanta, Georgia. Before TWC, Steele worked as a weather now a host on Quibi. He also spent about three years working as the evening meteorologist for the KING 5 Media Group based in Seattle, Washington. Steele also spent time appearing as a lifestyle host and weather anchor for an Austin based TV station known as KEYE TV before he moved to Washington.
Steele was born and raised in the suburbs of USA. He grew up as a very smart and active kid who enjoyed doing science projects and math. After high school, Steele joined Northern Arizona University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science, in electronic media and Film. He then received his Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University in 2011. Jordan kicked off his career as a meteorologist by working as a morning weather reporter for KEPR News in Pasco, WA.
His main duties at KEPR News included delivering accurate live forecasts while assisting to do weather duties for KEPR”s local radio station. Jordan left KEPR and moved to Oregon in 2010. He joined KMTR News as the weekday morning meteorologist and specialty reporter for the NBC affiliate based in Eugene. In 2012, Jordan left KMTR News and joined KEYE News in Texas as a Lifestyle Host and weather anchor.
He spent four years preparing and presenting very precise and accurate forecasts for Central Texas and its surrounding cities for close to four years until hsi departure in 2017. Jordan joined KING 5 News in Washington at the end of March 2017 until his departure in 2020. From there, he was able to work as a full-time meterologist for Quibi until March 2020. Jordan has been working as a weather anchor for the Weather Channel since March 2020.
