Julia, originally from Russia, was living in South Korea when she met Brandon Gibbs. She later moved to America on 90 Day Fiancé season 8, where the couple settled in Virginia. Julia often voiced her dissatisfaction with their living situation, sometimes expressing a desire to return home with comments like “I go Russia” during heated arguments. Shortly after being confirmed as a cast member for 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 9, Julia appears to have finally returned overseas.

In a recent Instagram post captioned, “Meet my family,” Julia shared pictures of herself with her family in Belgrade, Serbia. “I think only I can bring people together who haven’t communicated with each other for years,” she wrote, alluding to a reunion between estranged relatives. The post followed weeks of mourning her beloved dog Simba, whose death left a profound emotional impact. While Julia looked cheerful in the images, fans couldn’t help but notice the absence of Brandon. When asked by a commenter, “Where is Brandon?” Julia didn’t respond.

What Julia’s Solo Trip Abroad Suggests About Her Future in the U.S.

Julia moved to the U.S. in 2020 and married Brandon that April. Despite her desire to reconnect with her parents, their ongoing conflicts—stemming from a long-standing divorce—made family visits challenging. Julia wished they could visit her in America, but Brandon was strongly opposed, believing their visit might turn into a permanent stay. Fearing added pressure on their relationship, Brandon resisted, while Julia secretly applied for tourist visas on their behalf.

This decision sparked further tension between the couple. Many fans speculated that Brandon’s reluctance came from not wanting to support them financially or emotionally, especially if Julia hoped for help raising a future child. The strain highlighted deep-rooted issues in their marriage.

Are Brandon & Julia Headed for a Split After Their Latest Heartbreak?

Julia previously revealed she was unable to have children due to medical complications. Although Brandon encouraged her to seek a second opinion, Julia chose instead to focus on being a devoted pet mom. The loss of her dog Simba, whom she referred to as her “son,” devastated her and may have been the catalyst for visiting her family.

While it’s unclear why Brandon didn’t accompany her, the timing has led fans to question the status of their marriage. Whether or not this emotional rift will be featured on the new season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? remains to be seen—but it certainly hints at growing distance between the couple.
