Justin Croft is a British professional antiquarian book dealer and expert on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow. He is a specialist in antiquarian books and manuscripts. He has been a regular contributor to the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow since 2005.
The antiquarian book dealer is the proprietor of Justin Croft Antiquarian Books Ltd, an antiquarian bookselling business based in Faversham, Kent. Established in 2005, the business specialises in rare, unique and exceptional books and manuscripts. It is a member of the Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers.
Justin has over thirty years of experience in the rare book trade and holds a PhD in medieval bibliography. Between 2014 and 2018 he was a founder member of the faculty of the acclaimed York Antiquarian Book Seminar, teaching bibliographical description and cataloguing for booksellers.
He is a trustee of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association Educational Trust and a member of the editorial board of The Book Collector.
Passionate about the history of Kent and Faversham he is involved with several local history projects encouraging public engagement, notably the acclaimed Faversham Charters and Magna Carta exhibition which opened in 2022. He is a regular contributor on historical subjects to the journal Faversham Life.

Justin Croft is an expert on the “Antiques Roadshow” on the BBC. He joined the Roadshow in 2005. Since joining the Roadshow, one of the most memorable items Justin has recorded was at Manchester Town Hall. It belonged to the Hallé Orchestra archive and was a book-bound copy of a famous opera by Richard Wagner. Although Wagner didn’t actually use the book to conduct (rumour has it he conducted from memory), the book did belong to him and is a significant piece of musical history.

Antiques Roadshow expert Justin Croft is married to his wife Amanda Croft. They have three children; Celia Croft, Imogen Croft and Benedict Croft. Celia is a photographer currently based in London.
