Kalani Brown Parents: Where Are They From?
Her parents, PJ Brown and Dee Brown, gave birth to Kalni. Dee and PJ Brown, two Louisiana natives who became friends while competing in basketball at Louisiana Tech, settled in Slidell.
The Browns desired to raise their children in the New Orleans suburb on the northeast bank of Lake Pontchartrain, where Dee had grown up.
PJ and Dee returned to Slidell after a hurricane damaged their home. Their four children were not included because they were unsure what they might find.

Their home was still there, but it had suffered damage. Also looted. Some items could be changed. Others were lost permanently, including the family’s camcorder-shot home movies that PJ had made.
The Brown family eventually relocated to Humble, Texas, close to Houston, thanks to a multi-million dollar contract. Still, no amount of money could make the change any more accessible.

He received honorary admission to the Louisiana Tech Athletic Hall of Fame. During the 1992 NBA Draft’s second round, the New Jersey Nets selected Brown with the 29th overall pick.
Before spending 1993–1996 with the Nets, Brown made his professional debut in 1992 with Panionios in Greece.
Later, he was a member of the Miami Heat, Charlotte (and later New Orleans) Hornets, Chicago Bulls, and, in 2008, Boston Celtics. In 2008, Brown captured an NBA title.

Three times in 1997, 1999, and 2001, he was selected to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team. He also received the NBA Sportsmanship Award in 2004.
Brown is the only player to have ever been a member of the Hornets roster in each of the three places the organization has called home: Charlotte, New Orleans, or Oklahoma City.
He played the role of a officer in the film “Romance & Cigarettes” and is married to Dee. Together, they have three girls and one son, totaling four kids.
Kalani Brown Mother: Meet Dee Brown
Dee, Brown’s mum, started working with her when she was six. Kalani Brown, the daughter of 15-year NBA veteran P.J. Brown, has grown up surrounded by basketball since she was born.
In 2008, the final season of her father’s career, she was in the crowd to see him play in the NBA Finals.
When the Lady Techsters lost to North Carolina in the 1994 national championship game, Dee dropped out of college before her senior year to marry fellow Louisiana Tech star P.J. Brown. P.J., a 15-year NBA journeyman, won the NBA championship 2008 with the Boston Celtics.
According to Dee, being able to play for the same coach that Kalani did over 30 years ago has been a “blessing” for her.
I would not exchange it. I would continue believing it if she made the same decision in 2015 as she did then.
