Krystsina recently made headlines after she was taken to Haneda Airport under coercion by the representatives of the Belarusian Olympic Committee after she openly criticized them for entering her in a 4×200 m relay event without her consent.
She later asked for the help of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and was safely taken by the member of Tokyo 2020.
She was supported by an exiled Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya who wrote on her Twitter that the runner was “forced by the regime’ to leave the game. The athlete was “scared to come back to Minsk.”

She faced criticism through her social media handle.
As per Reuters, she expressed the carelessness of her coaches in her post. She also stated that she was asked to compete in the relay after some participants were found ineligible to participate in the game.
The 24-year-old athlete reported to the news agency Reuters that she has decided not to go back to her country.
