This article is about Léonard Gianadda Famille and his other personal details. The Pierre Gianadda Foundation was founded by Leonard Gianadda, who cemented his position at the center of the arts.

His adolescent discoveries of art and archaeology have sparked a deep interest in him that he has carried with him throughout his many travels and encounters.

Together with his classmate Umberto Guglielmetti, Leonardo opened an engineering office in Martigny after receiving his diploma in engineering in 1960.

He traveled the Mediterranean for four months in a VW Beetle with his brother Pierre that same year.

On the land where he intended to construct a building, a Gallo-Roman temple was found in 1976, and Pierre Gianadda perished in an aircraft accident.

This confluence of events inspires Leonard Gianadda to establish a cultural foundation centered around the remains to honor his brother’s memory.

Léonard Gianadda Famille: His Parents Details

On August 23, 1935, Leonard Gianadda was born in Martigny, Switzerland’s canton of Valais. Madeleine is his sister, and Jean-Claude and Pierre are his brothers.

Talking about Léonard Gianadda Famille, his father is Italian, and his mother is from Valais.

He has a lot of respect for his grandfather Baptiste, who left his home in Piedmont at the age of thirteen and walked to Switzerland in search of employment.

At the age of 13, Battista Gianadda traveled over the Alps to arrive in France from Piedmont in 1889.

He started out as a construction site worker before enrolling in night classes and starting a masonry business.

When he was 23, he went back to Italy to wed Angiolina Chiocchetti, and the two of them went back to Martigny.

When their son Robert Gianadda wed Liline Darbellay, they had four children: Madeleine, Pierre, Jean-Claude, and Leonard (in 1935).

Meet His Epouse Annette And Enfants

Léonard Gianadda was married to his wife Annette.

A social foundation founded by Annette and Leonard Gianadda in 2009 has as its goal providing sporadic financial assistance to Martigny residents who are struggling.

If it’s accurate to say they have consistently given generously to the community in both the cultural and social domains, then this last point has been emphasized more recently with significant initiatives that have generated a lot of media attention.

The acquisition of Edouard Morand’s villa in Martigny in 2002 may be the first to be considered.

The Alzheimer’s disease support group began using the Les Acacias building as a day center after it was made available to them.

Regretfully, Annette Gianadda was not present for the numerous sequels to this work. On October 14, 2011, the couple still enjoyed celebrating their golden wedding anniversary.

However, only a few weeks later, on December 8, 2011, Immaculate Conception Day, Annette passed away in the company of her children and Leonard.

Death of Léonard Gianadda

Leonard Gianadda, an architect, building contractor, and patron of the arts in Valais, passed away on Sunday at the age of 88.

He leaves behind a well-known international museum and foundation in Martigny, VS. The newspaper “Nouvelliste” published a report that the canton of Valais verified.

The Valais native established the Fondation Gianadda in 1978 to honor his brother Pierre, who passed away too soon.

The museum frequently hosts exhibitions featuring pieces by well-known artists like Picasso, Van Gogh, and Rodin. The museum welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.

Leonard Gianadda made his cancer diagnosis known to the world in 2018. He continued to be active even as his health was deteriorating.

He was admitted to the hospital at the end of October following a car accident in which he sustained severe leg injuries.
