Ajeet Jugnauth, a British interior designer making waves in the industry, is one of the talented contestants on the 2026 season of “Interior Design Masters.” He is the visionary behind byAjeetJugnauth, a renowned London-based interior design studio that specializes in crafting personalized residential spaces.
Established in 2025, byAjeetJugnauth was born out of Ajeet’s desire to create spaces that are not only stylish but also intentional and functional. His journey began with the renovation of his family home in South London, a project steeped in over 40 years of history. Over five years, Ajeet combined various styles, family heirlooms, and the dreams of his immigrant parents to develop a distinctive design philosophy he calls “Modern Nostalgia.” This concept skillfully blends the emotional depth of cherished memories with the sleek, practical elements of modern living.
Before embarking on his interior design career, Ajeet amassed a wealth of experience in the creative sector, primarily focusing on international expansion and growth. He continues to be an influential figure in the industry through his volunteer work, which includes mentoring budding entrepreneurs and serving on executive boards.

Interior Design Masters 2026
This season on “Interior Design Masters,” hosted by Alan Carr with Michelle Ogundehin as head judge, Ajeet faces the challenge of reimagining eight diverse spaces, ranging from charming beach huts to majestic castle hotels. Competing against nine other designers, Ajeet and his peers aim to create standout spaces each week, with the ultimate goal of winning the opportunity to launch their own homewares range.
Ajeet is expecting “variety” from the series. He said: “We are ten very different designers, each with our own style and way of thinking, so even when we were given the same brief, the outcomes felt completely distinct. What you’ll see is how differently people approach the same space and just how much personality and perspective shapes the final result.”
Speaking about his main motivation in applying to be part of Interior Design Masters, Ajeet said: “Honestly, it was to see if this was something I could really do! Before the show, I’d been made redundant and was in a period of real uncertainty; trying to land a full-time role, while also starting to explore interior design more seriously with a few clients.
“Applying felt like a bit of a leap, but also like something I was being pulled towards. We actually began the first challenge exactly a year to the day I was made redundant, which felt quite cosmic. It gave me the confidence to take it seriously, back myself, and embrace this transition.”
