Elijah Williams (Elijah Anderson), also known as Space Hose, is the son of actor Michael K Williams, best known for starring as Omar Little in HBO drama series “The Wire” and as Chalky White in “Boardwalk Empire.” The actor was a regular on many acclaimed HBO series, including “The Wire,” “Boardwalk Empire,” “The Night Of” and “Lovecraft Country,” played Leonard on SundanceTV crime series “Hap and Leonard” and had a recurring role on J.J. Abrams’ “Alias.” He also acted in acclaimed films including “Inherent Vice,” “12 Years a Slave,” “Gone Baby Gone” and “The Road.”

Elijah Williams son of Michael K. Williams is a self-taught artist and illustrator from Sarasota, Florida. He currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. Speaking about how he initially got into illustration, Elijah told Bene Culture: “I think my first love for drawing came from a tv show I used to watch when I was young called “Pappy Drew It”. As I got older, I got more into music and skateboarding, which led me to discover “outsider” artists like Barry McGee, which eventually turned into a love for graffiti. Without graffiti itself, I don’t think I would have ever gotten seriously into art or illustration.

“Graffiti was a huge foundation for me, as I never went to art school, it taught me about space, form, shape, color, etc. I’m sure there are a lot of artists who can also say the same!”

He said he is “particularly inspired by artists like David Hammons, Faith Ringgold, and Bill Traylor, who have given me hope as a Black artist to make a name for myself in a world so often dominated by whiteness. Also, music has always been a big part of my life and is always a big inspiration.”

The NYC-based artist and illustrator is extremely talented and has worked with companies like Saucony, Book Works, and Lite Year, among others. He has been featured by Popeye Magazing, NY Mag, Saucony Originals, BookWorks, and Bar Part Time.
