The explosive guard Phillip Russell has decided to play for the UT Arlington men’s basketball team, starting today (Dec. 16) against the Air Force, in response to this week’s NCAA and court decisions allowing multiple-time transfers to immediately become eligible.

Russell gives UTA a versatile guard who has led Southeast Missouri to the NCAA Tournament in 2023 and scored more than 1,000 points in only the last two Division-I seasons.

Moreover, Russell will now make use of one of his two remaining eligibility seasons for this season.
