Furthermore, they rushed home, told their mom, and she called the Largo FD and Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department. The authorities swiftly asked for a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission alligator trapper.

Once on scene, they began by trying to capture the 13-foot gator, but it was extremely aggressive and lethal force was used. After removing the threat of the alligator, a dive team was brought in and able to retrieve the torso.
