Lauren Bennett Biography – Lauren Bennett Wiki
Lauren Bennett, a British singer celebrated for her roles in girl groups like G.R.L. and Paradiso Girls, also gained prominence as a featured artist on the chart-topping LMFAO anthem, “Party Rock Anthem.”
Hailing from Meopham, Kent in the UK, Bennett’s vocal journey began in her teens when she competed in The X Factor. Although she made it to the final 12, her journey was cut short. Nonetheless, her talent caught the attention of music producers, leading to an audition for a new girl group, Paradiso Girls. At just 17, Bennett relocated to Los Angeles, joining the ensemble which released “Patron Tequila” featuring Lil Jon and Eve. This catchy single soared to No. 3 on the US dance club songs chart in 2009.
Despite Paradiso Girls parting ways with Interscope in 2010, Bennett’s musical success continued as a solo artist. She made waves with her guest vocals on LMFAO’s magnetic “Party Rock Anthem.” The track captivated audiences, maintaining the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks in 2011 while also topping Pop Airplay and charting at No. 6 on Latin Airplay.
Bennett then became part of G.R.L., a vibrant all-female band that gained international attention through collaborations such as Pitbull’s “Wild Wild Love” in 2014. The group’s biggest hit, “Ugly Heart,” achieved Top 20 status in the UK and reached the Top 5 in both Australia and New Zealand. However, after the tragic passing of bandmate Simone Battle in the same year, G.R.L. released the poignant tribute “Lighthouse” as part of their G.R.L. Gives an Hour mental health initiative. Sadly, the group disbanded in 2015.
In recent years, Bennett has embarked on a solo career, releasing tracks such as “Reality” and “Hurricane.” She has also occasionally reconnected with former G.R.L. members for several projects, with the group briefly reuniting as a four-piece in 2020.
