Born on July 14, 1985, Darrelle Revis is a former American football cornerback known for his prowess on the field.

He played 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL), predominantly with the New York Jets.

Revis made it to the Super Bowl with the New England Patriots on February 1, 2015. The Patriots won the game against the Seattle Seahawks 28-24.

While he was at Canton, Ohio, on Thursday for the annual Hall of Fame Game before his induction into the Hall of Fame, fans spotted the difference in his physique.

Because of that, he has been getting fat-shamed by fans on Twitter and other social media platforms.

In 2017 seasons with the New York Jets, Revis was overweight by over 20 pounds. His playing weight is 198 lb, but the athlete was reported to be about 220 lb.

As a result, the famous cornerback became the victim of fat-shaming in the later season. 

Part of the reason for the weight gain has been speculated to be injuries. A former agent of Revis, whom he fired, reported that Revis did not train hard during the offseason.

However, Revis worked hard to lose weight and returned to 200 lbs. His hard work and determination were unrecognized by the fans then.
