Who is Inky Johnson?
Inquoris ‘Inky’ Johnson was born on 12 February 1986, in Atlanta, Georgia USA, and is a motivational speaker and former college American Football player, known for being one of the top prospects for the National Football League (NFL) during his college days before he suffered a career ending injury. However, since ending his aspirations for a professional football career, he now serves as a motivational speaker for various organizations.

Early Life and Education
While little information is available about Inky’s childhood, it is known that he aspired to have a career in professional football at a young age. He excelled at the sport, and got a lot of exposure while attending the Alonzo A. Crim Open Campus High School, where he played with the school’s team as a cornerback. After matriculating, he enrolled at the University of Tennessee where he played with the school’s team. According to him, sports was his way to move away from the rough environment he experienced when he was younger. His neighborhood was filled with gangs, violence, drug problems, and other crime.
He played significantly well during college, and was a top prospect for the NFL even during his freshman year in college. However, in one of his games just before the end of the season, he suffered a devastating injury that would change the direction of his life. His right arm was permanently paralyzed due to the injury, and professional football was no longer an option because of it. He continued his studies, and after graduating then took a master’s degree in sports psychology, hoping to still be able to continue with a career in professional sports.

Johnson realized at some point that his injury and recovery would become a great way to help and inspire others who were also struggling. After completing his education he became a speaker for various organizations, and has appeared in ceremonies, community centers and schools as a speaker. He’s also been invited to high profile events such as the Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony. He has written an autobiographical book about his life called “Inky: An Amazing Story of Faith and Perseverance” which he heavily promoted upon it release.
Johnson is very vocal about his Christian faith, and mentions it as one of the reasons he was able to rise up from his situation, and happened so that he could be put on the right path. His fame increased significantly when a video of him was released on Twitter, in which he talked about his life story – the video became viral and spread quickly to various social media websites.

For his personal life, it is known that Inky has been married to Allison – who was his high school sweetheart – since 2011, having dated for several years. They now have two children together. Their relationship stays strong and there have been no reports of any problems or turmoil within the family. They mainly stay away from the spotlight, but many publications note that his rise from tragedy to fame is inspirational on both personal and professional levels.
According to an interview, he grew up in his grandmother’s house which was packed with 14 family members, and decided that he didn’t want that kind of life surrounded by crime as some of his relatives pursued. He was very active as a child, and he became strongly interested in football after he was offered free training by a coach. While he is termed as a motivational coach, he prefers to use the term inspirational coach, as motivation implies that people are forced to do something they don’t want to do, while inspiration happens from within. He also speaks in church, talking about numerous aspects of life.

Similar to numerous motivational speakers, Inky is very active online through various social media accounts He has accounts on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook which he promotes some of his recent conferences, as well as inspirational stories, while a lot of his messages are being promoted on social media. He also makes regular appointments with various sports teams, and his Instagram account is filled with videos of him making short speeches or appearing at events. He also takes a lot of photos with family, and some of his followers.

His Facebook account promotes some of his upcoming events while he continues to post motivational videos. Inky also has his personal website on which people can contact him to organize bookings, and on which he has various snippets and podcast uploads. He also has an online shop through which he sells his autobiographical book and a poster. He maintains a podcast on the site entitled “Inkspirations”, which uploads on a weekly basis and usually features guests. Numerous videos of him are also available through the video sharing website YouTube, which mainly has snippets of his motivational speeches.
