The thirteen-year-old with the heavenly voice has made judges on Britain’s Got Talent actually shed tears but exactly who is Malakai Bayoh from Britain’s Got Talent?

Having made it all the way to the 2023 finals, Bayoh received the golden buzzer for his semi-final rendition of “O Mio Babbino Caro”.

“One of the best voices I think I’ve ever heard”’ Simon Cowell said of the teens performance.

Amanda Holden added: “That was a stunning performance. Totally flawless and very composed.”

While Bruno Tonioli expressed his emotion merely through happy tears.

Born to a Sierra Leonean mother and father, Bayoh and his family, including a sister, settled in London. 

Upon his assent to the finals, the Sierra Leonean president extended his best wishes and excitement for Bayoh’s future.

“Congratulations @Malakai_Music for getting to the finals of @BGT. You’re a phenomenal talent. Sierra Leoneans at home and abroad are extremely proud of you. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors, which is undoubtedly a successful one.”

For his final performance, Bayoh performed “Caruso”, which is also known by its opening lyrics “Ti voglio bene assai” (“I love you very much”).

Although, he didn’t win the finals, Bayoh proved that his talent is phenomenal and he is extremely gracious in competition, thanking those who supported his journey.

“My @bgt journey has come to an end tonight, but I thank you all so much for your support and votes throughout this experience!” the young singer posted on an Instagram message.

He continued, “Especially my family and friends of the Schola Cantorum of the Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School who shared the stage with me tonight. These memories will last forever and you’ll hear more singing from me I promise.”

And that is one promise that Bayoh will keep as he has a new project entitled, “Golden,” that is definitely going to take this young rising star to the next level of his career.
