Rush was accused of modifying students’ grades to keep them eligible to play football during his time at Hoover High School.

Also, he was accused of giving select players preferential treatment, spying on opposing teams, and having an extramarital connection with a school administrator.

During his first season as the football coach at Hoover High School, John Propst was accused of head-butting a player. 

He challenged the suspension and was permitted to coach for the remainder of the 2018 season. 

Before being dismissed for breaching the code of ethics, Propst previously coached at Valdosta High School.
