A brutal man, William attended a funeral before committing the crime in October 2019. The crime that we speak of occurred outside the Old Tall Bar in Glasgow’s Kinning Park. Apparently, the then 43-year old Mr. Clements was attacked while he was going to his bike with his two friends. 

Leiper’s brother Robert suddenly attacked Alisdair with a punch. After that, William brutally stabbed Alisdair 27 times until the interference of Alisdair’s friends. William and Robert then fled the scene but were caught by the police afterward.

In the aftermath, Alisdair was hospitalized for 2 months while Robert faced an attempted murder allegation. But, his sentence was reduced to a charge of assault.

As for William, he faces a lengthy 10 years imprisonment for an attempted murder charge.
