Willie Gomez is a 37-year-old singer and dancer from Miami, Florida. He is a Latin artist born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Miami. The dancer is a contestant in the 24th season of The Voice.

He started taking dance and voice lessons at the age of 13. By the age of 17, he says he had already appeared with a number of Latin artists, including Paulina Rubio. a coach on La Voz and La Voz Kids.

He also performed on Latin award shows, including the Latin Billboards and the Latin Grammys, according to his website. He eventually moved to L.A. to pursue his dreams.

“I thought I had you!” Stefani shouted. “You still have me,” Gomez replied, signaling a certain chemistry between singer and Coach that made Stefani think she was that much closer to landing him for her team. “Your voice is so beautiful and, like flawless,” Stefani continued. “You have so much stage presence, you’re gorgeous.”

Coach Niall Horan couldn’t help but chime in at that point, referencing Stefani’s husband and former Voice Coach, Blake Shelton: “Blake, she is flirting his pants off.”

After brushing off Horan’s jokes, Stefani made a sincere case.

“I really think that you’re super gifted, super talented. I would love to work with you,” she said.

John Legend was also very into the singer’s multi-faceted talents and made it clear that he saw stardom well beyond The Voice stage. “I can hear this guy making a record that would be huge,” Legend said.

He ultimately picked Team Legend.

“Gwen turned first, and everything she had to say, she almost convinced me, but my heart told me to go with John,” Gomez explained later.
