On Monday, Nick Holly, the creator, writer, manager, and producer of the ABC series, passed away. Holly’s family released a statement revealing that the producer passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was 51.
Besides writing and producing, Holly also managed writers and filmmakers across various mediums, including television, film, and Broadway. Holly worked with clients such as Nell Benjamin, Matthew Flanagan, David McHugh, and Larry O’Keefe. The LeBrons, which told the story of LeBron James’ life, was also produced by Holly.
Variety reported that Holly loved climbing mountains from Baldy to Kilimanjaro, along with the ocean and the wilderness. “Throughout his life, Holly was a big-hearted character with a funny sense of humor who regaled his friends with tales of his many adventures. From the Serengeti to Whole Foods, Holly was always the hero. We remember him as a great thinker, philosopher, and Scotch lover.”

Who is Nick Holly?
In the mailroom at CAA, Holly began his career after graduating from Rutgers University, where he played lacrosse. Epiphany Alliance, Inc. was formed by him after becoming an agent at Buchwald. Holly worked with Fred Goss and Broadway Video to produce the half-hour comedy Sons & Daughters in 2006.

Nick Holly died from lung cancer after a long battle. The family of Holly includes his stepfather, Keith Moxey, mother Michael Holly, girlfriend Amy Shapiro and his sister Lauren Holly.
