Who is Indigo Rumbelow? Meet the art coordinator and become Eko

Indigo Rumbelow is an arts coordinator by profession. However, she is equally passionate about climate issues and works with various campaigns as a climate activist.

As reported by the Dailymail, Indigo Rumbelow is from Gower in South West Wales and is leading the anti-extinction Just Stop Oil Protest. As she works as an active activist, she has been arrested several times. However, she seems determined in what she does.

Rumbelow is a young twenty-seven-year-old woman. According to her, all she wants is to create a permanent disruption for two weeks. She added that her generation was forced into action because the government and relevant authorities of the country were destroying their future.

She further added that activists, including herself, will immediately end all actions when they make a statement to stop the use of all new oil and gas.

She is joined by other activists including Gabriella Ditton, 27, from Norfolk, Bournemouth University student Louis McKechnie, King’s College London student Nathan McGovern, 22, and former XR supporter Hannah Hunt, 23.

Rumbelow explains that they want to change the fossil fuel narrative. They would never materially want to stop its use. However, by having our faces attached to the action, she believes that she is right and whatever she was doing was the only right thing.

According to her, the society we currently live in is far from sustainable. So we are left with only two options i.e. act now or regret in coming days.
