Why Was Rapper Polo G Arrested?

 

Rapper Polo G was detained early on Wednesday while authorities raided his Los Angeles home.

According to an LAPD spokesperson, four robbery suspects were apprehended at the rapper’s listed current residence in Chatsworth, California, at around 8:30 a.m.

Police had arrived to the property with a search warrant, according to the LAPD spokesperson.

Polo G, real name Taurus Bartlett, may be seen in pictures taken by TMZ with his arms up outside of his home and handcuffed by cops in front of a police car.

 

Polo G, a rapper, is now being held by police following a raid on his L.A. house on Wednesday. During the raid, officers detained residents one by one before conducting an extensive search of the roughly $5 million estate.

 

Taurus Tremani Bartlett, better known as Polo G, was reportedly detained in relation to a case involving his brother Taurean. According to TMZ, the rapper may have been concealing a wanted criminal, according to the authorities.

 

According to a different law enforcement source, the raid was connected to a heist. Four suspects are now being held, but they have not yet been booked.

Bradford Cohen, Polo G’s attorney, asserted that Polo had been unjustly arrested and that the raid was related to a rumored firearm.

Polo is being detained under the pretense that the police need to confirm that he is not a felon since a rumored firearm was discovered in the house. He is not and has never been convicted of a crime, according to Cohen.

“I got all of his prior charges dropped, and it’s all on the public record. While he is being unlawfully held, they are also preventing access to him for me and my California law partner Zoey Aron, Cohen continued.

One day after the release of his album Hall of Fame in June 2021 in Miami following a traffic check, the 24-year-old “Rapstar” rapper was detained once before.

 

Polo G was arrested at 8:45 a.m. and charged with three crimes, including battery on a police officer, making a violent threat against a public official, and resisting a police officer with force, according to online jail records.

In addition, he was accused of criminal mischief and resisting a police officer without violence, two misdemeanors. Records indicate that he was later released on bond.

A police report states that the car Polo G was riding in was initially pulled over at roughly 12:30 a.m. for an unspecified traffic infraction. He allegedly “ended up in a struggle” with police officers after that, hitting one of them repeatedly in the head, according to the website.

Polo G’s mother, Stacia Mac, stated that he was in the passenger seat when the vehicle was stopped and that if the police hadn’t first made contact, no charges would have been filed against him.

 

“None of these charges would be possible if the POLICE did not make contact with my son Polo G!!!” she wrote. “He was NOT the driver. He was a PASSENGER in a professionally licensed vehicle with security. He was moving smartly and correctly. What more could he have done.”
